The Atlantic Spaceport Consortium (ASC), a company operating a spaceport at the island of Santa Maria, Azores, was selected by INNOSPACE as its European launch partner. The contract enables INNOSPACE priority access to a launch pad, and its HANBIT launch vehicle series to be launched to orbit from the Azores in the coming years.
South Korean INNOSPACE developed a family of hybrid rocket engine-based launch vehicle called HANBIT, with payload capacities ranging from 90kg to 1300kg, enabling regular cost-effective access to space from every continent. With spaceport agreements already in place with Brazil and Australia, and adding Portugal to their preferred launch locations, INNOSPACE is now able to operate its vehicles globally.
