The 2-year partnership between ASC and the high school of Santa Maria (EBSSMA) is coming to a close, after an impressive final project presentation to the public at the Atlântida Cine on the 9th of July 2023.
Over the course of two school years, students and teachers designed an analogue crewed mission to the red planet, while learning about space communications, life support, and mission planning.
This project had been a long-standing dream for the school and it was made possible with ASC support. In addition to providing financial support, ASC engineers delivered lectures on the applications of space and on rocket science.
We are grateful to EBSSMA for their exceptional partnership and hard work, and we commend the dedication and achievements of the students, teachers and others involved. We firmly believe the skills the students acquired will serve them well in their future careers and we look forward to seeing what they do next.
